Christian Marien studied drums and music in Amsterdam and Berlin. Among various constellations of free improvising musicians like Clayton Thomas and Frank-Paul Schubert he plays with a couple of bands and ensembles including among others: Superimpose, The Astronomical Unit, Olaf Ton, Computerband, Ritsche & Zast, and Triple Destan. Releases on schraum, Klangräume, Leo-Records, NRW Jazz, 2ndFLOOR Edition and Creative Sources.
