Roland Spieth studied arts at the Kunstacademy in Karlsruhe as well as studying classical trumpet privately. He joins in several improvising groups with musicians such as Harald Kille, Burkhard Jäckle, Helmut Wetter, Helmut Dinkel and Johannes Frisch. Roland Spieth's Trio Vopá (with Axel Haller on bass and Cornelius Veit on guitar) released its debut recording Fauxpas on schraum in 2006 and his trumpet playing can also be heard on several tracks of Torsten Papenheims cd Some of the things we could be.
